City Academy is a secondary school for 11-16 year old students.


You must complete and submit your year 7 application form ONLINE!

Birmingham School Admissions will receive an email confirmation that you have submitted your application form. It is important that you check your confirmation email to make sure everything is correct. Ensure you have received confirmation of your application check your SPAM or Junk folder.

Requirement: You must choose 6 schools.

TIP: You can amend your preferences right up to 11.59 pm on the closing date.

For community schools in Birmingham, Birmingham Local Authority is the admission authority and sets their admission arrangements, including their oversubscription criteria. When a community school receives more applications than it has places available, the places will be offered in the following criteria order:

  1. Looked After Children (in public care) or previously Looked After Children.
  2. Children and young people who have an EHCP plan who have special educational needs support.
  3. Siblings. (Brother or Sister who will still be in attendance in September 2021)
  4. Distance. (Children who live nearest the School)
